Every day should be March 8th

Welcome to our first monthly RISE newsletter. Each month you will get updated about relevant events, evolving around women in tech and female entrepreneurship. Additionally, we will share inspirational readings, and of course any interesting opportunities coming up. Meanwhile, we will also continue to work on our RISE program for 2021. Stay tuned, and sign up to our website. And don't forget to spread the voice about RISE within your Network.

The 8th of March is around the corner. And Women Inc explained us why International Women's Day is still needed. Given the circumstances, yet we are unable to celebrate all together. Not being able to embrace and support each other physically, doesn't mean we cannot do it virtually.

In addition to International Women's Day, elections in the Netherlands, are also coming soon (17th March 2021). And this year is a special one: there are more women running for the elections than ever. Yet there is a long path to go.

In this monthly newsletter, you can add your organisation in our Amsterdam start-up map in collaboration with Dealroom. You will also find an Event calendar for the month of March, with special events only for the elections; the launch of Leonie van Mierlo's Book, "Gelijkspel wint", and  the 2020 Diversity in tech report published by TechTalent Charter UK.

And last but not least, some initiatives for you, in the tech sector, not to miss out.

Happy International Women's Day!

// Register to our Election Debate & Check Women Inc's Voting Guide

Elections in the Netherlands are scheduled for the 17th of March. There have never been so many female party leaders and so many electoral lists making a big leap in diversity. Yet there is a long path to go.

Which is the best party advocating for gender equality ? Will 2021 be the year of the first female Prime Minister of the Netherlands? Will it be possible to have 50% of the seats occupied by women?

These and more questions will be answered during the Election Debate co-organized by RISE & Stem op een Vrouw (Vote for a Woman) & Pakhuis de Zwijger and de Bovengrondse.
