Welcome back to our monthly newsletter. This month’s focus is evolving around role models and how to become one with RISE, by joining the RISE Class ‘21.

Nominations are open, selections are happening. And did you already nominate yourself or someone else? Don’t miss the chance to sign up

Gender imbalance, a symptom of lack of diversification within the working environment is not new. While girls and women are still turned away from the Tech & Digital sector, too often labelled as being “a men thing”. We from RISE are striving for the opposite: we want to awake and increase girls and women’s interest into tech and into entrepreneurship.

Unsurprisingly, the biased and unbalanced working environment is reflected also on stage, and on inspirational figures, such as role models. Within the tech industry more women are making their way through. But yet many do not expose themselves to a wider real and/or virtual audience.

Through our RISE Class ‘21 we help you to get out there. But why should you be out there?

When girls, young women, and young professionals have role models with whom they can identify, it will benefit their political, economic, and cultural ambitions. When women don’t see other women with whom they can identify, the gender equality gap will take forever to disappear.

That's why we from Rise are here: to create and showcase more female entrepreneurship and women in tech role models in the Metropolitan Region of Amsterdam.

Are you one? Would you like to become one? Or do you know someone who fits within the description? Then what are you waiting for? Fill in our google form

//Time to nominate the Next Generation of Role models

Progetto-senza-titolo--1--1

More women embracing their role-model status are needed: to expose themselves, but above all to be an inspiration to the uprising female generations. To make sure there is someone to look up to, who doesn’t always have to be a CEO or a founder. But it can be whosoever: from a working mother to a career woman following three different projects.

In the RISE Class of 2021, we co-created with our partner organizations the Humblebrag & A cup of Ambition, starting from September 2021, 21 ambitious and wanna-be role models will get their writing, personal branding and speaking skills trained and developed to become a role models.

And you can choose the track you want to be an expert on.
